Anklet. A multitude of small silver grelots are suspended from the flexible anklet, which appears on the outer surface as a pattern of diamond-shaped discs. The links on the inner surface of the anklet are arranged in a pattern resembling brickwork. A loop-in-loop chain runs along the top and the anklet is closed by a clasp .

Object history
Purchased in India in 1880-2 for the South Kensington Museum (now V&A) by Caspar Purdon Clarke, who subsequently became Keeper of the Indian Section and later Director of the Museum.
