Mezzotint on paper depicting a child holding an open book in its left hand (in which it has written the letters A to T), and a quill in its right hand. Image is an oval vignette with text below: 'Who would not be GOOD to look so lovely. / To all sweet tempered industrious & obedient Children, / This Plate is dedicated, by their obedient Servant / Thos. Lovegood'. With rectangular plate mark around the edge of the engraving and deckle edges.
