This bronze lamp with cover is from a design attributed to Andrea Briosco, called Il Riccio (1470-1532).
The artist making this lamp signs L.C.R.I.I.S., but is unidentified. It was made in the early 16th century in Padua in Italy.

Another lamp decorated with the same plaquette but having in the exergue LCI is in the Kaiser-Friedrich-Museum, Berlin, and is attributed by Bode to Riccio.

Lamp with a frieze of marine deities. On the lid a sacrifice to Priapus. Inscribed on the base: C.I.R.I.O.M.S. (probably for Caius Julius Caesar Iovi Optimo Maximo-Sacrum)
