The internationally acclaimed textile designer Celia Birtwell has been described as a '60s textile print icon'. In 1966 she collaborated with Ossie Clark on a fashion collection for Quorum boutique in London. Their continued work together produced a style that has become inextricably linked with the Swinging Sixties culture. In 1984, she opened her own shop in London's Bayswater, where she diversified into furnishing fabrics.

Birtwell continues to play an important role in the British Fashion industry, as demonstrated through her highly successful collaborations with Topshop.
