Temple lamp made of rock crystal, carved and incised, with foot and mounts of gilt copper, repousse, inset with 48 cabochon and 16 table white topazes backed with plain or tinted tinsel. Made by a Newari craftsman in Kathmandu.

The burning-pan in the form of an open lotus with down-turned petals, the octagonal shaft and the globular lotus-bud immediately above the foot are all of crystal. The chalice-shaped neck, the central and lower ring bands and the foot resembling an inverted lotus flower are all of gilt copper, mounted with rings of variously shaped and articifically coloured stones.
