Louis Wièse (1852-1923) was the son of the award-winning jeweller and goldsmith Jules Wièse who trained in Berlin but worked almost entirely in Paris. Louis took over the firm from his father in 1880. His surviving jewellery is in various historicist styles such as Rennaissance or Gothic revival and in the Neoclassical taste.
