This design was created by Paquin for the Summer collection 1908.

There is a pencil inscription 'Reginella' on the right hand side of the model. This is the name of the design, and would have been used as a means of identifying the dress. The bottle green costume is enhanced by the elaborate lace work adorning the cuffs and shoulder area of the dress.

Compared to earlier Paquin creations, this design shows a straighter and slimmer silhouette which was becoming increasingly fashionable towards the end of the decade. The new high-waisted and shorter-skirted designs introduced by Paul Poiret were a main cause for this change. During their lifetime Poiret and Paquin remained fierce competitors.
