Elaborate orange design for an afternoon or evening dress for the winter collection of 1906.The model wears a contrasting blue feather in her hair.

Compared to earlier Paquin creations, this design shows a straighter and slimmer silhouette which was becoming increasingly fashionable towards the end of the decade. The new high-waisted and shorter-skirted designs introduced by Paul Poiret were a main cause for this change. During their life time Poiret and Paquin remained fierce competitors.
