WEFT: dark orange wool; Z spun, unplied, 1 thread per shoot (see T7-1924), 4 shoots, CHECK; 8-10 knots per inch , 33-35 per dm).
PILE: wool; 10 colours: red, dark orange, light orange, yellow, dark green, dark blue, blue, light blue, brown/black, cream; symmetrical knot tied around 2 threads; 59 knots per sq. inch (825-980 (av. 902) per sq. dm.)
SIDE FINISH: web of 5 threads of return weft, turned back and stitched.
END FINISH: Lower: band of plain weave with dark orange weft; then alternating blocks of light orange, red, brown/black and yellow with slight indications of blocks between slits. Upper: cut but with remains of plain weave with brown/black weft.
DESIGN: Field: diagonal lattice in brown/black forming diamonds of various colours each containing a cross in various colours.
Main border: cream ground with single diamonds in various colours outlined and linked in brown/black.
Guard stripes: inner has red and blue squares outlined in brownblack. Outer has light blue and dark orange squares outlined in brown/black.
