WARP: cream wool; Z2S; 18 threads to the inch (66 per dm).

WEFT: red wool; check; 2 shoots after each row of knots; 12 knots to the inch (46 per dm).

PILE: wool; 8 colours: red, light red, yellow, dark green, dark blue, light blue, dark purple, light purple; symmetrical knot tied around 2 threads; 108 knots per sq. inch (1518 per sq. dm).

SIDE FINISH: missing

END FINISH: missing.

DESIGN: Field: dark blue ground with eight complete bands of hooked, seven-sided motifs in yellow, each containing a stylised blossom. These alternate with a secondary, yellow motif from the lowest band of the seven-sided motif, the bottom quarter is missing.

Inner border: there is evidence of a red inner border at either side.
