This model in wax showing a baited bull is made by an unknown artist in the first half of the 16th century in Florence.

The group (which is not related to a known model, and is not listed in Gherardini) seems to have been inspired by the animal bronzes of Gionvanni Bologna and Giovanni Susini. It was perhaps designed for casting in bronze as a seal-handle.
