Physical description

Ring brooch, gold, enamel, hollow cast, engraved on the obverse with the inscription in black letter: 'canc*d / epaer / tir' [sans departir] (Without leaving); the lettering beginning with a cross, and arranged on a scroll, the scroll followed by a floral motif and two lozenges, each lozenge bearing lettering.The reverse is engraved with a wreath of bows and pine sprigs. Traces of a dark-coloured enamel on both the obverse and the reverse, with a trace of white enamel on the reverse.
