Costume design by Lila De Nobili (1916-2002) for Fairy 4 and Fairy 5 in The Royal Ballet’s 1968 production of The Sleeping Beauty. Lila De Nobili's design idea for the production was a Victorian view of the Middle Ages. Peter Wright was responsible for staging the ballet with Frederick Ashton contributing original choreography. First cast Aurora was Antoinette Sibley. The V&A has a substantial collection of costumes from this production.

Costume design by Lila De Nobili (1916-2002) for Fairy no. 5 and Fairy no. 4 in The Sleeping Beauty. Two pencil drawn female figures labelled left to right 'Temperament' and Language'. They wear bodices and knee-length tutus decorated with heraldic designs. A further tutu has been partially drawn on the reverse.
