Object history
The pottery items C.246-1958 and C.248 to 250-1958 were given by Pamela Diamand, the daughter of Roger Fry. Her letter of 18 May 1958, which initiated the gift (see RPs 58/1540), referred only to an Omega carpet designed by Duncan Grant. This was offered to the Museum "as we must dispose of much of the furnishings of the house of my aunt, the late Margery Fry". It is therefore likely that the pottery items had also belonged to Margery Fry.
