This Romanian marionette of a man in Middle-Eastern style costume is carved from two different types of wood and is constructed in a traditional method with wooden head, yoke, hands, legs and feet, with stuffed cloth body and cotton fabric arms. It has metal eyelets in each side of the head for string attachment. This marionette has wedged dowel knee joints and a leg and body joint of a soft length of rope, knotted at each end, allowing for free leg movement.
