Tabacco jar and cover of red earthenware with patterns stamped and inlaid in white slip under a yellowish glaze. Cylindrical, with stepped-out lip and flange to receive a flat disc cover with flattened knob. On one side, an inscription inlaid in white slip: Ann Reves June 18 1811. Over the rest of the body, patterns of large and small inlaid white slip stars. The glaze and patterns stop above the base. On the cover, two concentric rings of white slip between white stars.

Physical description
