Belin is a French artist who lives and works in Paris. She is primarily a photographer, but has also worked with video and live performance. Belin’s early work was inspired by photography as a medium, leading her to explore its aesthetic potential, such as with this series, which explores the luminous spectrum of silver objects. Belin’s more recent work has embraced new technology, blurring the lines between illusion and reality whilst experimenting with different processes and techniques. In her 'Silver' series, the objects themselves serve as a luminous spectrum, capturing and representing light reflected from their surface.
