Tea canister of lead-glazed earthenware painted with enamels. Cylindrical with a sloping shoulder and short cylindrical neck. Oval panel painted with figures in a garden in red bordered with a green wreath picked out in black and red roses. Swags of green foliage hanging from black rings and sprays of roses and leaves in red and green. No cover.

The enamelled decoration is similar to that found on Italian creamware, and the piece is perhaps Italian? (HY August 2004).
