Puzzle jug of red earthenware with bulbous body and loop handle. It is covered with a yellow glaze over a white slip, with incised decoration consisting of conventional flowers, leaves and scroll ornament. On the front is the inscription "P. Carnall, S.W. 1800". The back is also inscribed "SW 1800" and on the bottom is scratched "P.C.". The short neck is pierced with three crosses and two holes.

Physical description
Puzzle jug of red earthenware with bulbous body and loop handle.
