Oval fruit-dish of lead-glazed cream coloured earthenware with pierced and moulded decoration, transfer-printed and over-painted in black enamel. In the middle is a female figure representing Holland, with a lion, military trophies and two Dutch hats, and the inscription 'Voor Vryheid en Vaderland'. With a wavy rim, decorated with pierced devices enclosed within festoons of foliage in low relief and painted with smaller festoons in black.

Physical description
Oval fruit-dish of lead-glazed cream coloured earthenware with pierced and moulded decoration, transfer-printed and over-painted in black enamel. In the middle is a female figure representing Holland, with a lion, military trophies and two Dutch hats, and the inscription 'Voor Vryheid en Vaderland'. With a wavy rim, decorated with pierced devices enclosed within festoons of foliage in low relief and painted with smaller festoons in black.
