Physical description
Black tailcoat with silver diamanté detailing.

The tailcoat has long sleeves and extends into two hanging points at the rear, these hang either side of a 66.5cm vent at the centre back.

The exterior is made from a lightweight black fabric and the coat is lined throughout with a heavy weight polyester [?].

Three bands of diamante trimming have been used to decorate both cuffs, and lines of further diamante trimming also run around the neckline and centre front opening.

Padding has been added to the interior of the shoulders and decorative rectangular epaulettes (formed from lengths of diamante and bordered with hanging strands of diamante) are present at the left and right shoulder-line.

The front opening of the tailcoat is secured with three thin lengths of diamante. These run in three parallel horizontal bands above the waistline and are connected to a thread and loop fastening at the proper left-hand side. These fastenings are marked by the 3 pairs of false diamante buttons. Rectangular in shape, these false buttons are positioned at the base of the left and right side of the jacket opening.

The rear of the jacket is largely plain, but two imitation diamante buttons have been added at the proper right and proper left rear waist (above the centre back vent).
