Teapot in unglazed red stoneware. Depressed globular body with straight upward-pointing spout and plain loop-handle with round section. Shallow domed cover with spherical knob. Sprig-moulded decoration in the shape of prunus branches with blossoms. Press-moulded maker's mark. Gilt metal mounts on the spout, knob and handle, connected with chains. The mount on the spout has a hinged cover decorated with a tiny figure of a cock. The knob of the cover has a metal finial in the shape of a squirrel.
