Using a tent that acted as a portable camera obscura, Morell photographed the landscape image that was projected onto the floor. The resulting picture mingles the view with the grass, stones and soil of the landscape itself. The textured effect resembles the paintings of John Constable made in the early nineteenth century at the same locations where Morell made his photographs.
