The manufacture of toys virtually halted during the War,
after which it took a couple of years to re-tool for toy
production. In the intervening period, great strides in the
development of new materials had occurred which would
revolutionize the toy industry. Interestingly the bulk of
British toy production in the late 1940s was at
government behest aimed at the export market. |
