Annotated costume design by Leslie Hurry for a female dancer in Act III of Swan Lake. Hurry first designed Swan Lake for Sadler's Wells Ballet (Now The Royal Ballet) in 1943 and it stayed in repertoire for 30 years. The character is not given but is possibly for one of the prospective brides/princesses, particularly given the annotation ‘Suggest skirt variation of colour and decoration in the group – gold pattern on chiffon-gauze?’.

Annotated costume design by Leslie Hurry (1909-1978) for a dancer in Act III of Swan Lake. The costume shows a high-waisted, calf length green-blue-brown dress with elaborate sleeves of ribbons or brocade with pearls. The dancer wears a crown and jewelled choker necklace.
