Costume design by Attilio Comelli (1858-1925) for Ortruda in Richard Wagner's opera Lohengrin. Female figure wearing a long red and cream patterned medieval style gown with gold details, a matching long cape, beige underskirt, white veil, pointed shoes and crown. Close-up details of motifs, decorations, clasps and shoes have been drawn around the costume. A basic pencil sketch of a dress has been included on the reverse. Signed and dated 1901.
