Historical context
There are no free-standing tombs such as these in the immediate vicinity of Tlos, but although the artist has mistaken the exact location, the boldness and confidence of this drawing are characteristic of Müller. Nevertheless, the Johnson studio mark means that an attribution to Müller's pupil cannot be completely rejected. See SD.528-SD.530.
