Physical description

Letter shaped to a point so that it folds up into an 'envelope', featuring silhouettes of two mice, one of which runs down the side of the page, addressed to Margaret Hough. On the verso is and address and a 'stamp' drawn in red top right corner of central rectangular part.

Acquired by the V&A from Leslie Linder (1904-1973) in 1973 as part of the Linder Bequest, a collection of ca. 2150 watercolours, drawings, literary manuscripts, correspondence, books, photographs, and other memorabilia associated with Beatrix Potter and her family.
