Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Curtain of cotton printed with an overall sprig pattern of a 'shawl' motif in terracotta and black on a bright yellow ground. The border, in the same colours, consists of bands of bold zig-zag, wave and spot designs. The designs flank an angular meander containing three motifs, a half wreath and a plant alternating with a pineapple. This border is printed to one side of the width of the material. The selvedges show two blue threads.

The curtain hangs from brass rings on linen tape, with plain gathers. All the sewing is in linen thread.
