Pink faux fur jacket designed by Mary Quant in about 1973. The design is called ‘Raspberry Ripple’. The jacket was worn and donated by Janie Ranger. Ranger, a graduate in fashion and textile design from Ealing Art School, was recreuited by Mary to work at Mary Quant Ltd. Ranger contributed designs to the full range of Quant products, from embroidery details to dressmaking fabrics and even mugs, all in the Quant style.

Worn by Janie Ranger
Design assistant Janie Ranger, a fashion and textile graduate from Ealing Art School, contributed towards Mary Quant embroidery details, dressmaking fabrics and even mugs. She recalls that Quant was, ‘brilliant at looking at something and saying, “That’s not right, but I know what we need to do to it.” She had a really really good eye and a good way of thinking things through’.
