Artist/Maker | |
Place of origin |
These four different fragments of glass were acquired by a collector and framed in a window for display. We have no idea of their original context but it is possible to identify some of the images and techniques.
One fragment depicts the coat of arms of Barvoet of Bruges joined with the arms of another (unknown) family. It may have come from a window commemorating a marriage between the families. Another fragment depicts an animal with cloven hooves, possibly a goat. The glass was tinted blue and then painted. A third fragment of coloured and stained glass has an unidentified image.
