Historical context | This is one of eleven drawings [SD.532-SD.542] from the Searight Collection relating to the artist's `Views On The Nile From Cairo To The Second Cataract', 1843, in this case plate 20. [See SP.337:1-32]. The titles given are, where applicable, those of the lithographs. Similar drawings and watercolours of Egyptian subjects are in the VAM, DPD (8252-1-2) and the BM, PD. |
