Sculpture of Buddha Sakyamuni, 3 tiered; gilt mirror work metal, Thailand, 19th century
Physical description
Figure of standing Buddha with both hands raised in the gesture of reassurance (abhaya mudrā) The figure is fully clothed and wears an elaborate head dress and ornaments. It is decorated with glass mirror work and stands on a graduated base. Above the figure is a canopy.
