Pale pink pleated silk crêpe-de-Chine nightdress bordered with Valenciennes lace. Intricate embroidery at the front neckline combines hand embroidery, cutwork, appliqué and two types of net insertion (square mesh for the majority of the background and hexagonal mesh for parts representing water) to create a scene of a female statue in Grecian drapery with two putti at her feet pouring water from a jar, upon a stone pavillion, with trees beyond.
