Blind stamp of crown within an oval with an oval band of lettering around the crown. (Science and Art Department blind stamp for the South Kensington Museum in the top left corner. The lettering usually says ' SCIENCE & ART DEPARMENT' around the outer band and then 'ART LIBRARY' beneath the crown.)

Attribution note: The meandering motif of barley stalks and heads is possibly for embroidery.
