Pillow of greyish-buff stoneware, coated with a white slip with sgraffito decoration under a clear glaze. Oblong octagonal form with slightly bowed front and concave top; bamboo-stem mouldings at the angles. On the top are formal peony-flowers on scrolled leafy stems; the sides are occupied by rough floral devices in lozenge-shaped compartments, two on the longer sides, one only on the shorter, except for one side, where a leafy spray is substituted.
