A hand raised silverware with hammering skill. Raising is a technique to make the flat metal into form by means of a raising hammer and raising block. A sheet metal is depressed in a stump or other solid object by repeated courses of hammering and annealing. When the metal work has its intended form, the surface will be finished by the planishing technique, which is tapping the surface with the planishing hammer for finer shape and smother surface.
