She stands in front of an cross-framed curule seat and a painted backdrop showing an interior with pilasters and a tapestry. The photograph has been retouched to give Miss de Grey a very curvaceous figure. The name of the photographer, Alfred Ellis, is stamped on the mount in gold, lower left, with the address, 20 Upper Baker Street, London, N.W., stamped in gold, lower right. |
