Two glass plates sandwiched together to protect the autochrome emulsion layer, taped at the edges. The tape is very degraded and loose on the bottom edge and is coming away slightly on the right edge.

Autochrome depicting a pair of large columns in deep shadow with the edge of an archway visible on the left of the image. On the right of the image in the middle ground is a large tower. Two glass plates sandwiched together to protect the autochrome emulsion layer, taped at the edges. The tape is very degraded and loose on the bottom edge and is coming away slightly on the right edge.
