Ostrich feather fan which belonged to the actress and singer, Mistinguett (1875-1956), used in revue in Paris, 1928.
The fan featured in a revue which was publicised by a poster designed by Charles Gesmar. The poster was known as 'Rags to Riches' since it featured two images of Mistinguett, one as an urchin in a patched dress and heavy boots, and one as the glamorous showgirl that she became. Both figures are set against a background of pink ostrich feather fans.
