Place of origin |
Eveleen Myers had initially taken up photography in 1888 to record the early lives of her three children Leo, Silvia and Harold. She went on to produce photographic portraits of eminent contemporaries and genre scenes from a studio that she set up in her family home. Myers was inspired by a visit to Julia Margaret Cameron's studio as a child and the influence of Cameron's Pre-Raphaelite styling is clear in this image.
