The Kills album reinterprets its title with a dark glossy design echoing the visual vernacular of the 1980s. Surface details such as embossing and die-cutting invite touch in a way that is impossible with downloaded music. Now that music marketing is digitally led, albums stand apart as a free, dynamic and unexpected artform.(2019) |
