According to Rodney Searight: - 'Bt. in a lot at Christies, say abt. £10.' Formerly attributed to W.H. Bartlett, and subsequently to C. Hamilton Smith. see Searight Archive. A copy, with variations, of an engraving by M.[?] Picquenot after L.F. Cassas entitled Antioche, nommé par les Arabes Anthakyah - Vue de la Porte de Fer (Bab-el-Hhadyd) qui conduit à Alep (Hhaleb) par les montagnes, published in Voyage Pittoresque de la Syrie, de la Phoenicie, de la Palestine et de la Basse Egypte, 1799, Vol.I, No.9.
