Warp: cream wool; Z2S; 19 threads per inch (80 per dm).
Weft:
Main: white cotton; Z2S; 46 threads per inch (180 per dm).
Pattern: wool; Z3S; 8 colours: red, yellow, green, dark blue, blue, light purple, dark brown, black; technique of weft threads over 4 warp threads and back under 2 in single soumak, over 2 or 3 in vertical wrapping and over 3 in diagonal wrapping.
Side finish: 3 cords with returned wefts.
End finish: lower - 5.5cm plain weave in bands of dark brown, blue, red, blue and dark brown woollen weft and then cut; upper - band of dark brown weft plain weave turned under and stitched with white cotton. 6 vertical slits have been cut to allow the bag to fasten.
Design:
Field: a lattice of diamonds, each containing a hooked diamond and smaller diamonds - all in various colours.
Border: a repeating design of squares, each containing a bracketed diamond.
