Physical description

Purse woven in uncut silk velvet on a silver strip ground, edged with silver-gilt braid with brass hinges.

Olive green silk pile forms oblong compartments containing a floral sprig in pink, white and the same green. The ground is textured in various patterns. The purse is edged with sliver-gilt braid, lined with plain green silk and the sides are made from salmon pink patterned silk, which is probably original.

It is spade-shaped with a brass mount and hinges.
