ANALIVIA CORDEIRO (born 1954)
M3x3
Brazil, 1973
Analivia Cordeiro created some of Brazil’s first computer-inspired dance pieces. She used a computer program to choreograph this dance, in which the geometric movements of the performers are informed by the program’s instructions. The film was recorded in São Paulo and first shown at the Computer Arts Society’s Interact exhibition in Edinburgh in 1973. A work by her father, Waldemar Cordeiro, is displayed nearby.
