Mini-Dress
1965-1966
Artist/Maker | |
Place of origin |
This dress is by British designer Rosalind Yehuda. It was featured on the cover of the October 1966 issue of British Vogue.
Yehuda took a hands-on approach to the creation of her designs. She recalls making trips to Paris to source lurex yarn, like that used in this dress, before discovering a mill that produced it in Britain. She outsourced the production of her designs to local outworkers and would drive between their houses, dropping off designs and yarn, and picking up the finished garments.
