T.174-1993
This basket is made from willow grown by the maker. She
offers a new perspective on traditional techniques: 'the
technical complexities of the craft are perhaps not immediately
apparent, but my involvement with the complete process from
the very first planting to the final steps of making gives me an
awareness and understanding of the intrinsic links in making a
functional object from an indigenous material'. |
