The teapot has an upright, octagonal form with rounded shoulders at the top. The large handle and knop are made of faceted slabs of wood and are set in a line down one side and across the top of the pot. The knop is set across a circular lid, hinged at the top of the handle, meeting a small rectangular spout on the other side.
