Petticoat of painted and dyed cotton chintz with a floral design against a white ground. The main feature of the border is a large flower with small sprays radiating from it. On each side is a flower spray tied with a ribbon bow. The field has slender meandering branches bearing small flowers and foliage. At the selvage there is a blue band with a herring-bone pattern reserved in white. The petticoat is pleated into a waistband with a large box at the centre front.

Physical description
Petticoat of painted and dyed cotton chintz with a floral design against a white ground. The main feature of the border is a large flower with small sprays radiating from it.
